If you’re out and about in New York City and looking for somewhere healthy but fun for breakfast or lunch, you should check out Two Hands Café (164 Mott Street). Not only does this little café offer a great menu for everyone (vegan, vegetarian and those who love bacon), but it also has a charming atmosphere and will have you snapping photos of its #supercute décor the second you walk in the door. From its puffy cloud lights to its mason jar cups where you can sip your fresh pressed juice from striped paper straws, everything about this place is Instagram worthy.

Though it’s kind of off the beaten path (between Chinatown and Nolita) it’s well worth the trek. During my visit I had their iced black tea and Avo Toast. The iced tea (unsweetened) was definitely refreshing after being out and about in the NYC heat (seriously though, when is this heat wave going to break??), and I don’t think they could have fit any more avocado on their Avo Toast – it was fantastic.

I first heard about Two Hands from one of my favorite bloggers, Jordan Younger of The Balanced Blonde. Though she’s based out of LA, she mentioned Two Hands was her go-to when in New York City so, of course, I had to give it a shot.

And I’m so glad I did! Two Hands certainly did not disappoint.

"One belongs to New York instantly. One belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years."
- Thomas Wolfe

For as long as I can remember, living in New York City has been a dream of mine...and now it's my reality! As an Army Brat, I grew up exporing the world, but I've come to find there's just no place like the Big Apple.

And as a writer, it provides an umlimited supply of inspiration!

New York City has an unmatched energy and excitment around every corner while its people are among the most hard working, inspiring and interesting people I've ever met.

Moving from a small, midwest town to the big city certainly has its challenges (especially for my small town husband who lived in the same one-stoplight town his whole life!) but every day we find more to love in this big, beautiful city on the East Coast.

New York is filled with surprises and, as a newcomer, I love nothing more than exploring and learning everything I can about this amazing place I now call "home."
